During my last wild pregnancy, I was granted the opportunity to travel long distance to be an ultrasound model! This was an amazing opportunity for me that I didn’t want to pass up, but I was shocked (and initially a little discouraged) when I was asked to provide a doctor’s note approving my air travels.
As a wild pregnancy, free birth mom, I have chosen to be my own care provider for my pregnancies, labor, and birth. This requires a lot of patience, knowledge, and resilience to see it through but by this time, I was no rookie to the process of doing things a little differently from the system. Since completing the Sovereign Passport Process twice (click for the guide!), I was no stranger to creating my own documentation to run my life script as I see fit.
I explained to the employer that I was my own care provider, and offered to provide a notarized affidavit authorizing my air travels. They approved of me doing this if I could get it completed in a reasonable time for me to finalize the trip and booking! I was so relieved and created this affidavit to supply to the airlines, should it be requested at any point.
